Yeogi Eottae Revamps Restaurant Category... "Synergy with Accommodations and Activities"
[Asia Economy Reporter Junhyung Lee] The accommodation platform Yanolja announced on the 10th that it has significantly revamped its restaurant category.
With this revamp, the exposure of restaurant category products and content on Yanolja has been changed to be sorted by distance, and the list of local restaurants has been expanded. After acquiring the restaurant recommendation platform 'MangoPlate' last year and newly establishing the restaurant category, Yanolja has continuously improved the usability of this category. This appears to be a strategy to strengthen the restaurant category and enhance synergy effects with accommodation and activity products.
The core of the category revamp is 'distance.' Yanolja uses the location information of application (app) users to display discounted restaurant products and review content. To make it easier to access nearby restaurants, it provides restaurant information located within a 3km radius sorted by distance. If there is an accommodation booked through Yanolja, users can check nearby restaurants based on the accommodation location. When a specific area is selected, a list of restaurants close to that location is also shown.
The discount benefits for 'authentic restaurants' secured by Yanolja have also expanded to 300 places. Discount benefits are provided at 'Jeongdon,' considered one of Seoul's top three pork cutlet restaurants, and 'Manseok Dakgangjeong' in Gangneung and Sokcho.
Oh Junhwan, head of the MangoPlate Center at Yanolja, said, "Gourmet food is a core theme of MZ generation travel," adding, "We revamped the category to secure synergy among accommodation, activities, and restaurant information."
