Fire at Gwangju Pyeongdong Industrial Complex Factory in Early Morning... No Casualties Reported
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] At around 3:37 a.m. on the 9th, a fire broke out at a refrigerator manufacturing factory in the Pyeongdong Industrial Complex, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City.
One building was completely burned down, and the fire spread to an adjacent building, including a storage warehouse.
Since the fire occurred during the early morning hours when the factory was not operating, there were no casualties.
The fire department received the fire report, issued Response Level 1, and succeeded in initial extinguishing after about two hours.
