Lotte Mart Launches Seasoned Gim Without Plastic Trays
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Lotte Mart announced on the 9th that it has launched seasoned seaweed without plastic trays as part of its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management.
This product not only eliminates plastic trays but also uses eco-friendly Earth Pack made from 100% sugarcane paper, which is produced using residues discarded after sugar production, applied to the box. It also uses soybean oil ink, a plant-based material free of eight major heavy metals. Additionally, space is left at the lower side of the box so that it can be placed on the dining table and individual packs can be taken out one by one.
As ethical consumption that considers the environment and society is increasing, Lotte Mart plans to gradually switch all seasoned seaweed products to versions without plastic trays, starting with this product launch.
