"The Undying Dog, Rui" (written by Jo Youngseo, illustrated by Lee Kyungseok) is the winner of the long-form category of the 27th MBC Creative Children's Story Award hosted by the Geumseong Cultural Foundation and MBC. It is a creative children's story that deals with important contemporary themes such as viruses and bioethics. It tells the story of children uncovering the truth against adults' greed and immorality in a world where companion dogs have disappeared.
Geumseong Publishing is conducting a book review event until the 30th of this month so that more children can read "The Undying Dog, Rui" and share their thoughts. This event was planned as part of reading promotion activities for students spending time at home due to COVID-19.
