Pay-per-mile auto insurance measures the driving distance and charges only for the miles driven each month. Drivers who drive less than 15,000 km annually can save up to 30% on their insurance premiums. Carrot General Insurance is targeting vehicle owners with low annual mileage and is conducting an advertising campaign utilizing public transportation.
The window promotion, which attracts the attention of bus passengers, has been attached to about 500 buses operating in the Seoul metropolitan area. For taxis, media panels installed on the back of the front passenger seats of about 1,500 corporate and individual taxis are used. Additionally, QR code subscription posters have been posted at over 3,300 SK Telecom branches nationwide.

A Carrot official said, "The number of pay-per-mile auto insurance subscribers exceeded 100,000 in January this year and surpassed 200,000 in May. We will lower the subscription barrier by expanding opportunities for customers to access easy subscription channels for pay-per-mile auto insurance, such as QR codes on buses, taxis, and branches."
