In preparation for COVID-19, the district has continuously made efforts in quarantine measures, such as installing transparent droplet-blocking partitions at 18 civil service counters in the district office and community centers since May last year. However, since all staff wear masks while attending to civil complaints, voices are sometimes hard to hear, causing communication difficulties with residents.
Therefore, two-way microphones have been installed at four major counters with high visitor traffic, allowing both residents and officials to hear each other clearly even when speaking softly.
The two-way microphones are wall-mounted, enabling contactless conversation that blocks infection through droplets, ensuring safe use.
As a result, both residents, including elderly citizens, and officials can communicate comfortably and accurately even with low voices, which is expected to receive great positive feedback from the community.
Meanwhile, to accommodate working couples, office workers, and students who find it difficult to visit the civil service office during working hours, the district processed 543 cases last year through the ‘Monday Night Civil Service Office’ and the ‘Saturday Civil Service Office’ held on the first week of every month, enhancing convenience for visitors.
Additionally, the district continues to promote civil service administration that communicates closely with residents by operating the nation’s first non-face-to-face civil service ‘Ontact (On-tect) Civil Service Office’ and the ‘Rainbow Delivery’ document delivery service for digitally vulnerable groups.
