DL Strengthens ESG Management, Launches Eco-Friendly Campaign
[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] DL Group (formerly Daelim Group) is launching an eco-friendly campaign on June 6, World Environment Day. This initiative aims to strengthen ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management and proactively address environmental issues such as climate change and energy depletion. Under the theme "DL's Good Deeds for the Earth," various campaign activities will be carried out at the headquarters and field sites through the end of the year.
At the D Tower Donuimun headquarters, where DL affiliates such as DL E&C, DL Chemical, DL Construction, and DL Energy are gathered, attention is focused on small actions individuals can take to protect the environment. A zero waste challenge will be implemented to reduce waste output and save wasted energy. Employees will be encouraged to use personal cups instead of disposable ones, increase the use of scrap paper, use public transportation for commuting, activate digital reporting, practice PC power saving, and maintain appropriate indoor heating and cooling temperatures. These activities will be promoted company-wide.
A program that employees' families can participate in has also been prepared. Employee families will support environmental education projects for underprivileged children. They will produce educational popup books about environmental issues and deliver them to local children's centers.
