View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Dong-joo] On the 30th, Song Young-gil, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, held a 'Cultural Artists Meeting' as part of the National Communication and Public Opinion Listening Project at Gyeongui Line Forest Park in Mapo-gu, Seoul. In his greeting, Song said, "Our self-employed workers are struggling, but cultural artists are especially having a very hard time. I have personally heard about the difficulties from many cultural artists I know," adding, "Mapo-gu, which we visited this time, is a cultural and artistic hub leading global trends. It is the epicenter of the K-pop wave and serves as an incubator for Hallyu content, centered around Hongdae and the Gyeongui Line Forest Park, also known as Yeontral Park, where many popular artists have blossomed new cultural flowers."
