Geumcheon-gu Launches 'Smart Tourism Map Service'
Composed of cultural heritage, sports facilities, libraries, parks, festivals, and model restaurants... Search 'Geumcheon Jeonjido' on portal sites, available without membership... Linked with non-face-to-face local projects like healthy walking due to COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) will provide a mobile web-based "Smart Tourism Electronic Map" service that can deliver local tourism information in electronic form starting in June.
The "Smart Tourism Electronic Map" is designed to allow easy access and utilization of sector-specific information on the electronic map through smartphones without the need to install a separate application, and to reflect updated information in real time.
The map is organized to provide comprehensive information on Geumcheon’s ▲cultural heritage ▲festivals and events ▲sports facilities ▲libraries ▲recommended restaurants ▲accommodations ▲shopping centers through photos, explanatory materials, and homepage links.
Additionally, to respond to the increasing demand for non-face-to-face services due to COVID-19, the electronic map is linked to a stamp tour system such as health walking based on the map and an online reservation page for some sports facilities.
The electronic map can be accessed by searching "Geumcheon Electronic Map" on portal sites or through the Culture and Tourism tab on the district’s official website.
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, "Many people are curious about Geumcheon, which is emerging as the center of the southwestern area of Seoul. We will actively utilize the electronic map as a platform to promote local projects that were halted due to COVID-19 in a non-face-to-face manner and make it an opportunity to widely publicize Geumcheon’s unique and attractive tourism content."
