High School Girl Reported Missing in Seoul Found Dead in Car with Man in His 30s
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] A missing female high school student from Seoul was found dead along with a man in his 30s in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, and the police are investigating.
According to the police on the 29th, the Songpa Police Station in Seoul discovered the bodies of 17-year-old Ms. A and a man in his 30s, Mr. B, inside a car parked on a mountain in Dangnim-ri, Seomyeon, Chuncheon City, Gangwon Province, at around 11:10 a.m. that day.
The vehicle was confirmed to be owned by Mr. B. There were signs inside the car suggesting that they had taken extreme measures. A will belonging to Mr. B was found at the scene, but Ms. A's will has not yet been discovered.
Ms. A's family reportedly filed a missing person report on the 26th at around 4 p.m., stating that "(Ms. A) had run away from home and had not attended school for four days."
The police confirmed through closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage that Ms. A got into Mr. B's car and tracked their whereabouts via mobile phone location tracking. Ms. A's family reportedly stated to the police that they did not know Mr. B.
