Kia K8, a Sensation in the Mid-to-Large Sedan Market
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Kia's mid-to-large sedan K8, officially launched last month, is attracting great interest from consumers.
The K8, the successor to the K7, reflects Kia's new design philosophy, 'Opposite United' (creative fusion of contrasting concepts), completing a dynamic yet elegant exterior design. The front features the new Kia logo and a bumper-integrated radiator grille, applied for the first time in the brand, achieving an innovative design.
The interior is equipped with various premium features to ensure all passengers can travel comfortably and pleasantly. For the driver's seat, Kia has applied the Ergo Motion Seat for the first time, which uses seven air cushions to provide optimal seating comfort tailored to the driving environment and reduce driver fatigue.
The Ergo Motion Seat individually controls the air cushions to provide effects such as 'Comfort Stretching Mode,' which feels like stretching while seated, and 'Smart Support,' which adjusts seat support to firmly hold the driver's body when switching to sport driving mode or driving at speeds over 130 km/h.
The interior features a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment system connected in a curved panoramic display, along with a 12-inch head-up display, creating a driver-centered space. The British luxury brand Meridian premium sound system (14 speakers available as an option) is also installed to maximize audio effects.
