According to Gwangju City on the 21st, five additional cases were confirmed the previous night, classified as Gwangju cases 2665 to 2669.
This brings the total number of new cases reported the previous day to 13, including the previously announced 8 cases.
Case 2665 in Gwangju is a contact of case 2659, who was confirmed earlier the same day.
Case 2659, whose infection route is unknown, was finally confirmed positive after visiting a screening clinic with COVID-19 symptoms.
Case 2666 is a contact of case 2499 and tested positive in a test conducted before the end of self-quarantine.
The infection route of case 2499 is currently under investigation.
Cases 2667 and 2668 are related to a cluster infection at a religious facility located in Gwangsan-gu.
