Gucci to Open 'Gucci Gaok' in Itaewon
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Gucci will unveil its new flagship store, 'Gucci Gaok,' on the 29th in Itaewon, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
'Gucci Gaok,' opening in Itaewon, is the second flagship store of the Italian brand Gucci in Korea, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, and the first flagship store in the Gangbuk area.
Gucci explained that the free-spirited culture of Itaewon, symbolizing the diversity of Korean culture, aligns with the spirit of Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele, who values self-expression and individuality.
The official name 'Gucci Gaok' was inspired by the Korean traditional house called 'Gaok.' It will be presented as a space that blends Korea's unique hospitality culture with the vibrant and modern sensibility of Itaewon.
