‘Navigation for Your Life’ is designed to give the youth generation, exhausted by the COVID-19 situation, time to find their true selves through a process of remodeling their lives by focusing on themselves rather than others. The program consists of a total of five sessions.
After participating in the Seoul Youth Autonomous Budget Policy Process last August, where young people directly discovered and proposed agendas, this year’s program is conducted under the themes of self-observation, self-discovery, self-understanding, career implementation, and life planning navigation. It offers specialized curricula with career counseling and small group motivational sessions, expected to provide valuable time for young people.
The district recognizes youth as an important period for psychological, emotional, and social independence development tasks. With 94,717 young people in the area, accounting for 33% of the total population, and youth households making up 45% of all single-person households, the district aims to provide opportunities for young people to learn stable social adaptation methods, serving as a foundation for growth and independence.
The recruitment target is young people aged 19 to 39 who reside or are active in Seongdong-gu as of the announcement date. Anyone struggling with self-exploration or career exploration can apply easily by scanning the poster QR code on the Seongdong-gu website and submitting the application form.
Last year, the district held the youth policy forum ‘Drunk on Youth’ talk concert, listened attentively to youth stories through in-depth discussions, published a booklet for single-person youth households, and supported healthy independence of local youth through 70 transportation support services.
