Jeonnam Province Announces 2023 National Sports Festival Symbol Contest
Until July 15 for the entire nation... 17 items including 5 types such as Emblem, Mascot, and Poster
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Province announced on the 16th that it will hold a contest for the symbols to be used in the "104th National Sports Festival and 43rd National Paralympic Games," which will be held in 22 cities and counties including Mokpo in October 2023.
The contest is open to the entire nation until July 15.
The contest targets 17 works in 5 categories: ▲ 1 emblem integrating the two sports festivals, 1 mascot, 1 slogan ▲ 2 posters and 5 slogans for the National Sports Festival ▲ 2 posters and 5 slogans for the National Paralympic Games. Each participant may submit no more than 2 entries per category.
In particular, the theme of this contest must concisely express the brand image of Jeonnam, the host region, including its tradition, history, culture, and vision of "Land of Life, Leading Jeonnam," as well as the sports spirit of the National Sports Festival and National Paralympic Games.
Submissions can be made by direct visit or mail. The total prize money for winning works is 23 million KRW.
After a fair evaluation by a panel of experts for each category, a total of 34 works in 5 categories including grand prize, excellence, and encouragement awards will be selected, and the winners will be announced and awarded in September.

Lee Hyungman, head of the Jeonnam National Sports Festival Planning Team, said, “We hope for great interest as the contest is open to the entire nation to develop distinctive and excellent symbols for the 2023 National Sports Festival and National Paralympic Games,” and added, “We will devote all our efforts to ensure that the National Sports Festival and Paralympic Games held in 2023 in the Land of Life, Leading Jeonnam, are successfully conducted with national interest and participation.”
