[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Sangju City, Gyeongbuk Province, will accept applications for 'Temporary Livelihood Support' starting from the 10th to assist households facing income reduction due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The temporary livelihood support is one of the tailored damage countermeasures for the 4th wave of COVID-19. Eligible recipients are households struggling to make a living due to business suspension or closure during the COVID-19 situation, who have not received existing welfare benefits, with a standard median income of 75% or less and assets of 350 million KRW or less.
This support is provided only once on a temporary basis. The payment amount is 500,000 KRW per household regardless of the number of household members. However, households eligible for the 'Small-scale Farm Temporary Management Support Voucher (300,000 KRW)' will receive only the remaining 200,000 KRW.
Applications can be made online or in person. Online applications are accepted from 9 a.m. on the 10th until 10 p.m. on the 28th. After mobile phone identity verification, the head of the household must apply, and applications are operated on an odd-even basis according to the last digit of the birth year.
In-person applications are accepted from 9 a.m. on the 17th until 6 p.m. on June 4. Applicants, including the head of the household and household members, can apply at the administrative welfare center of their residence by bringing an ID card.
