Woman Broadcasting on SNS Falls to Death Dancing on 25th Floor Veranda Railing
On the 6th, a 42-year-old woman living on the 25th floor of an apartment in Sanya, Hainan Province, China, died after falling while dancing on the balcony without safety equipment during a live broadcast.

[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Sumi] Local media reported on the 8th that a woman dancing on the balcony of a high-rise apartment in China fell to her death.
According to multiple media reports, on the 6th, a 42-year-old woman identified as A, living in a 25th-floor apartment in Sanya, Hainan Province, China, fell from the balcony of the high-rise apartment and died.
Officials from the Tianya branch of the Sanya Public Security Bureau in Hainan Province stated that Ms. A was dancing while hanging on the balcony railing of the 25th floor without any safety equipment to film a video for social networking services (SNS).
Nearby residents who witnessed Ms. A's dangerous behavior immediately reported her to the apartment management office.
Management office staff who responded to the report tried to stop Ms. A's actions, but her strange behavior continued. Despite the staff's attempts to dissuade her, she reportedly said, "I am filming a video, so it's okay." In fact, the incident site was broadcast live on SNS through a live stream. Ms. A fell 1 minute and 5 seconds after starting the live broadcast and was transported to a nearby hospital but died.
Investigations revealed that Ms. A had often filmed and shared her dangerous actions on SNS before. Nearby residents also testified that a few days before the accident, Ms. A had engaged in risky behavior by leaning out of the balcony.
