Nam Hee-sook Appointed Director of the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 7th that Nam Hee-sook has been appointed as the director of the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History. The term is two years. Director Nam is a museum expert. She has worked at the National Archives and Records Service and the Presidential Committee on National Branding, and has been working at the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History since 2012. She has served as head of the Research and Investigation Division, head of the Research Planning Division, and head of the Data Management Division. She has also taught at Seoul National University and Jeonbuk National University, nurturing future scholars. Minister Hwang Hee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said, "Based on the extensive experience accumulated since the establishment promotion team of the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History, please lead new advancements such as the reorganization of the permanent exhibition."
