[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] On the 6th, Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Council Chairman Kim Hayong, Vice Chairman Jang Gyuseok, and Provincial Councilor Shin Yonggon visited the Changnyeong-gun Rural Employment Support Center to inspect the labor support situation and listen to difficulties.
The Rural Employment Support Center support project provides indirect ancillary costs related to manpower supply to farms in order to supply necessary labor.
Currently, it is operated in 14 locations across 11 cities and counties this year, with a total support budget of 1.4 billion KRW, 100 million KRW per location.
Chairman Kim Hayong said, "Due to the decrease and aging of the rural population, it is difficult to find labor in rural areas, and especially with the decrease of foreign labor due to COVID-19, the shortage of rural labor has intensified. I believe the Rural Employment Support Center project should be expanded to resolve the shortage of rural labor."
