Sancheong-gun Public Recruitment of 'Grassroots' Resident Autonomy Committee Members
Participation Open for Hopefuls in Danseong and Sindeung Myeon Pilot Areas Until the 24th
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 6th that it will publicly recruit resident autonomy committee members in the target areas to promote the pilot implementation of the ‘Resident Autonomy Association,’ which will be the center of grassroots resident autonomy realization.
The county is currently promoting the transition of the existing ‘Resident Autonomy Committee’ to the ‘Resident Autonomy Association’ to strengthen grassroots village autonomy and citizen sovereignty.
To ensure the smooth establishment of the ‘Resident Autonomy Association,’ the county selected Danseong-myeon and Sindeung-myeon as pilot implementation target areas and is recruiting interested committee members.
Once the Resident Autonomy Association is established and operated in the respective areas, the county plans to actively support it administratively and financially. In particular, through the pilot implementation, the county will improve operational issues and expand the Resident Autonomy Association.
This public recruitment of resident autonomy committee members is for the full-scale operation of the Resident Autonomy Association, and anyone can participate by visiting the respective township office and applying by the 24th.
The number of recruits is 15 to 25 per township, and anyone aged 19 or older who is registered as a resident in the respective township or belongs to a workplace, school, institution, or organization and is interested in resident autonomy can apply.
