Yeonggwang-gun Provides 'Temporary Livelihood Support Fund' to Low-Income Crisis Households
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 6th that it will provide a 'Temporary Livelihood Support Fund' to low-income households in crisis experiencing economic difficulties due to COVID-19.
The recipients are households registered in the resident registration as of March 1, whose income has decreased due to COVID-19 damage, with income below 75% of the median income standard and assets below 300 million KRW.
Recipients of basic livelihood security (livelihood benefits), emergency welfare (livelihood benefits), and other COVID-19 damage support projects (emergency employment stabilization funds, general taxi driver emergency employment stabilization support, home care worker livelihood support, etc.) are excluded from this support.
The application period is from the 10th of this month to the 4th of next month.
The support amount is 500,000 KRW per household, and after reviewing income, assets, and duplicate support status, the cash will be paid to the application account next month.
Applications can be made online or by visiting in person. Online applications can be submitted on the Bokjiro website from the 10th to the 28th of this month.
In-person applications can be made by visiting the local eup/myeon office of the applicant's address from the 17th of this month to the 4th of next month.
To ensure smooth project implementation, the county formed a Temporary Livelihood Support TF team on the 26th of last month, assigned dedicated personnel, and conducted various pre-promotions. They also conducted guideline training for eup/myeon staff to enable residents to apply quickly, making thorough preparations for the project.
