Jinju-si Announces Naming Contest for Nambu Children’s and Dongbu Municipal Libraries
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City in Gyeongnam announced on the 4th that it will hold a contest for new names to be used for the Gajwa-dong Southern Children's Library and the Chojang-dong Eastern Municipal Library.
The contest runs until the 31st and is open to everyone. The winning entries will be selected through a first round of screening by the Jinju City Administrative Coordination Committee and a second round of voting on the Jinju City website. Each selected work will receive a prize of 500,000 KRW, and two runners-up will each receive 200,000 KRW.

The city is promoting the construction of public libraries to expand balanced cultural facilities by region and provide spaces where people can enjoy culture and leisure. The Southern Children's Library is scheduled to be completed in March next year, and the Eastern Municipal Library is targeted for completion in December next year, with efforts underway to accelerate the projects.
