Statistics Korea announced on the 3rd that it selected three outstanding public officials for proactive administration in the first quarter and awarded them. The awardees received incentives such as the highest grade performance bonus and reward leave. In addition to the 'Living Area Statistical Map' service by Chief Officer Kim Sang-woo, who won the grand prize, notable projects included Chief Officer Kim Kang's 'Non-face-to-face Smart Mobile Survey Service (Excellence Award)' and Chief Officer Kim Dong-eun's 'Police Personnel Reallocation Based on Gyeongbuk Population Data Provision (Encouragement Award)'.

Ryu Geun-gwan, Commissioner of Statistics Korea, said, "We will encourage outstanding public officials who have performed their duties creatively and challengingly to enhance public empathy and the utilization of statistics."
