Film Company Dudung Prepares Production of Last Year's Best Award Winner 'Andongbu Chechnapjingsuban'
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 3rd that, together with the Academy of Korean Studies, the Honam Academy of Korean Studies, and the Chungnam Institute of History and Culture, it will hold a film script contest utilizing traditional records until October 13.
They are seeking film scripts of around 90 minutes written using old documents, diaries, etc. Reference materials such as private diaries from the Joseon Dynasty provided on the Story Theme Park website can be used. Four winning works will be selected through expert evaluation. One grand prize winner will receive the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award and a cash prize of 20 million won, and one excellence award winner will receive the President of the Academy of Korean Studies Award and a cash prize of 10 million won.

“Andongbu Chechnap Jingsuban” (writer Ryu Yu), which won the excellence award in last year’s first contest, is currently preparing production with the film company Dudungi. The grand prize-winning work “Suwon Saeng” (writer Kang Seonju) and the excellence award-winning “Yang Arok” (writer Jo Yujin) are also in contract negotiation with production companies.
