Four Death Reports After Vaccination... One in 50s, Two in 70s, One in 80s

According to the COVID-19 Vaccination Promotion Response Team, the newly identified death cases include one woman in her 50s who was vaccinated as a care worker, two men in their 70s, and one woman in her 80s who were vaccinated as elderly individuals aged 75 and above. None of these cases have confirmed causality between vaccination and death.
The woman in her 50s was vaccinated on the 24th of last month and died on the 1st of this month, about six days later. It is under investigation whether she had any underlying conditions. Among the men in their 70s, one died on the 1st of this month, more than two weeks after being vaccinated on the 14th of last month. Whether he had underlying conditions is also under investigation.
The other man in his 70s died less than two days after vaccination on the 29th of last month. It has been confirmed that he had underlying conditions. The woman in her 80s died on the 1st of this month, about a week after receiving the vaccine on the 23rd of last month. She had underlying conditions. The deceased individuals in their 70s and 80s received the Pfizer vaccine, while the woman in her 50s received the AstraZeneca vaccine.
One suspected case of anaphylaxis, a severe adverse reaction, was reported following AstraZeneca vaccination. Two other severe suspected cases involving neurological symptoms such as seizures or ICU admission were reported following Pfizer vaccination.
Meanwhile, as of midnight today, approximately 830,000 people among the first-quarter vaccination target group have completed their first dose, with a vaccination rate of 89.3%. The second-quarter vaccination rate stands at 48.2%.
