Yangju City Begins 'Small Stream Maintenance' in Preparation for Monsoon and Typhoon
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province is maintaining small streams in preparation for the rainy season, typhoons, and heavy rains.
According to the city on the 30th, Jakgogaecheon in the Eodun-dong area and Neungancheon in the Ganap-ri area of Gwangjeok-myeon, which began construction last year, are scheduled to be completed in the first half of the year.
The newly initiated Majeoncheon maintenance project started construction on the 20th and is currently working on embankment construction and revetment maintenance.

The city plans to invest a total of 5 billion KRW, including 3.3 billion KRW for construction costs, to install vegetative retaining walls and reinstall five bridges along a total length of 1.12 km, with completion expected by December 2023.
