The Gwangju Police Agency's Special Investigation Unit on Real Estate Speculation began conducting raids at three locations, including Hwasun County Office and the County Council, starting at 10 a.m. on the 30th.
The police are investigating after detecting signs that former council member A had prior knowledge of road development information, acquired buildings around the area, and resold them to gain speculative profits.
