Police Arrest High School Student for Theft at Unmanned Store Late at Night... Tracking Accomplices
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A teenager who committed thefts at unmanned stores around Gangnam-gu and Seocho-gu in Seoul late at night was caught by the police.
On the 29th, the Seocho Police Station in Seoul announced that they had booked high school student A (16) on charges of special theft and were identifying the identities of two other high school students and tracking their whereabouts.
They are suspected of entering an unmanned laundromat in Yangjae-dong, Seocho-gu around 1 a.m. that day and attempting to steal from a cash storage box. The Seocho-gu CCTV integrated control center, which detected suspicious behavior, contacted the police, and A was caught in the act.
Before visiting the unmanned laundromat, A and the others are also suspected of committing thefts at two unmanned stores, including an unmanned ice cream shop in Gangnam-gu. It was investigated that they moved from Ansan, Gyeonggi Province to Gangnam, Seoul to commit the crimes.

A police official said, "After contacting A's parents and completing a basic investigation, he was allowed to go home for the time being," adding, "We will swiftly apprehend the accomplices as well."
