Asiana Opens Online Ticketing Service for 'Rail and Fly' to Major German Cities
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Asiana Airlines announced on the 29th that it has launched the Rail & Fly online ticketing service to enhance travel convenience in the Germany region.
The 'Rail & Fly service' is an air-rail combined transportation service where passengers fly the Incheon-Frankfurt route and use the German Railway (DB) for travel between Frankfurt and cities within Germany. Asiana Airlines has strengthened this service, which was previously only available offline, by making it accessible directly through the Asiana Airlines website.
Through this service, customers can travel by train from Frankfurt to 10 major cities including Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Stuttgart, and D?sseldorf after arriving on an Asiana Airlines flight, and conversely, they can take the train from these major cities to Frankfurt and then board an Asiana Airlines flight.
To use the service, customers can select 'German city name + train station' as the departure or arrival location when booking on the Asiana Airlines website. After purchasing a Rail & Fly ticket (an airline ticket that includes the rail segment), train tickets can also be issued in advance. More detailed information is available on the Rail & Fly service page of the Asiana Airlines website.
