The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasted that the highest daytime temperature on the 23rd will range from 14 to 27 degrees Celsius. In the Seoul metropolitan area and Chungcheong region, there may be some raindrops, but it will stop in the morning, and only weak rain will fall in the mountainous areas of Gangwon during the day.
As light rain falls, humidity will temporarily increase, but dry weather will continue again from daytime. Although the rain cloud band is located over the West Sea, a high-pressure system is developing over the upper Korean Peninsula, causing dry air to descend and push away moisture.
Tomorrow, Saturday, the whole country will be cloudy, gradually clearing from the central region in the afternoon. The lowest temperature tomorrow morning will be 7 to 14 degrees Celsius, and the highest daytime temperature will be 15 to 25 degrees Celsius. On Sunday, the day after tomorrow, daytime temperatures will rise to around 25 degrees Celsius nationwide. The lowest temperature on the morning of the day after tomorrow will be 8 to 13 degrees Celsius, and the highest daytime temperature will be 13 to 26 degrees Celsius. Fine dust levels on Saturday are expected to be 'moderate' across all regions.
Late Saturday afternoon, there will be occasional rain in the inland areas of Jeollanam-do and the western inland areas of Gyeongsangnam-do. This is due to atmospheric instability caused by surface heating and the development of rain cloud bands where lower-level air currents meet. Rainfall of less than 5mm is expected between the afternoon and evening.
Currently, dry weather warnings are in effect for Seoul, southern Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, Chungcheong, Jeollanam-do, Gyeongsang, and mountainous areas of Jeju Island. The atmosphere is very dry, so caution is needed to prevent wildfires and other fires. Strong winds are blowing along the southern coast and mountainous areas of Jeju Island, requiring special attention. From today until early tomorrow morning, strong winds of about 6 to 12 meters per second will blow along the coastal areas of Jeollanam-do, Gyeongsang coastal areas, and Jeju Island.
Very strong winds and high waves are expected in the southern offshore areas of Jeju Island, the southern offshore areas of the southern West Sea, and the southern offshore areas of the southern East Sea, so vessels engaged in navigation or fishing should exercise caution.
