LG Electronics has decided to donate 400 paper boxes annually starting this year, which were used to package large home appliances such as washing machines, refrigerators, and air conditioners, to support the "Animal Behavior Enrichment Program" at Seoul Grand Park. The Animal Behavior Enrichment Program helps animals live healthily by creating living spaces similar to nature, allowing animals to naturally express their innate behaviors and reduce stress.
These paper boxes are used as play tools for various animals such as lions, tigers, bears, and chimpanzees. The paper boxes used to package large home appliances are thick and wide, making them suitable as play tools for animals.

LG Electronics collects all packaging materials after product installation, and the collected packaging materials have been recycled only through specialized companies. However, some recyclable materials such as paper boxes among the packaging materials will be upcycled and provided to places in need, such as zoos. O Se-gi, Vice President and Head of LG Electronics H&A Research Center, said, "We will continue to find ways to provide product packaging materials to places in need."
