[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) held the launch ceremony of the Our Neighborhood Maeumeum Volunteer Group on the afternoon of the 21st at the Sinnae Senior Welfare Center.
The Our Neighborhood Maeumeum Volunteer Group is a public-private partnership volunteer group formed together with the Sinnae Senior Welfare Center, consisting of family, adult, and university student teams.
Going forward, they plan to visit 50 elderly living alone at risk of lonely death once every two weeks to check on their well-being and provide emotional companionship.
In particular, AI speakers will be installed in each household to provide 24-hour SOS functions, music listening, medication alarm settings, and guidance on device usage, offering non-face-to-face care as well.
