This is the largest scale ever, an increase of 2,351 people (about 57%) compared to last year's recruitment number (4,139).
On the 22nd, the Ministry of National Defense explained that this reflects the replacement of non-combat roles with civilian personnel and the increased demand for military civilian employees due to troop reductions, in line with the implementation of Defense Reform 2.0.
Through open competitive recruitment (public recruitment), 5,884 people will be selected, including 714 for grade 7 and 5,170 for grade 9, and 606 people will be selected for grades 5 to 9 through career competitive recruitment (career recruitment). Applications will be accepted from May 7 to 12, and the written exam will be held simultaneously at test centers nationwide on July 24. Those who pass the written exam will undergo interviews and background checks from September 24 to 30, and once confirmed as final successful candidates, they are expected to be appointed after November 1.
