Korbit Donates 160 Million KRW to Children's Rehabilitation Hospital on Disability Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] Domestic cryptocurrency exchange Korbit donated Ethereum cryptocurrency worth 160 million KRW to a children's rehabilitation hospital in honor of Disabled Persons Day.
On the 20th, Korbit announced that it donated 59 Ethereum to the Purme Foundation Nexon Children's Rehabilitation Hospital in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The 59 Ethereum is equivalent to about 160 million KRW.
The 59 Ethereum is the final winning bid price of the NFT-based auction that Korbit conducted for the first time in the industry on the 8th. Korbit auctioned off two naming rights for Korea's first Bitcoin and Ethereum trading. The starting bid was 2 Ethereum for both, but the Bitcoin naming right was finally won at 24 Ethereum, and the Ethereum naming right was won at 35 Ethereum.
