The Guui 3-dong Community Service Center in Gwangjin-gu received a donation of about 7 million won from Guui Church on the 15th for children from low-income families.
This donation was collected by the church members of Guui Church and will be delivered to 35 single-parent and grandparent-headed households in the area who are going through even more difficult times due to COVID-19.
Since 2017, Guui Church has been conveying its precious intentions to help neighbors in need every year through rice donations and other means. Additionally, to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the community, the church has established a thorough quarantine system by minimizing worship attendance and adhering to prevention guidelines, serving as a model for the local community.
◇Spring Dry Season Wildfire Prevention Campaign
The Guui 2-dong Community Service Center in Gwangjin-gu conducted a wildfire prevention campaign targeting hikers at the entrance of Achasan hiking trail on the 12th.
This campaign was organized to promote wildfire prevention measures to prevent major fire damage as the number of hikers increases during the spring season.
During the campaign, employees from the district office and the community service center participated, requesting residents to comply with quarantine rules such as social distancing and providing information about vaccinations.
◇To Prevent Solitary Deaths in Junggok 1-dong... Local Welfare Agencies Join Forces
The Junggok 1-dong Community Service Center in Gwangjin-gu signed a business agreement on the 12th with Junggok Comprehensive Social Welfare Center for the ‘Happy Neighbors, Warm Gwangjin-gu’ project aimed at preventing solitary deaths.

This project is led by Junggok Comprehensive Social Welfare Center and involves 13 local institutions and organizations including Gwangjin-gu Office, Junggok 1 to 4-dong Community Service Centers, Gwangjin Regional Self-Support Center, and Konkuk University Hospital. It was established to identify socially isolated households and provide systematic support.
