Nokia and LG Uplus Deploy Equipment for 5G Indoor Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Nokia announced on the 19th that it will deploy the 'ASiR In-Building Dedicated Solution' on commercial networks in collaboration with LG Uplus to improve 5G indoor service quality and coverage.
Nokia explained that this solution is easy to deploy in various indoor spaces and can be easily upgraded. It can be quickly installed when additional capacity is needed and supports multiple 5G frequency bands.
With this collaboration, Nokia expects the partnership between the two companies to expand and strengthen further, following existing LTE and 5G, as well as business-to-business (B2B) digital projects.
Dahee Kim, Head of Network Infrastructure Technology Group at LG Uplus, said, "Using Nokia's system, we plan to provide seamless 5G connectivity in various locations and environments," adding, "We will be able to offer the best 5G quality service even indoors, which is closely connected to users' daily lives."
