Korea Communications Commission Chairman Han Sang-hyuk Conducts On-site Inspection of Incheon Viewer Media Center
[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Cho] Han Sang-hyuk, Chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, visited the Incheon Viewer Media Center on the 17th to inspect the compliance status of COVID-19 quarantine measures in response to the Level 2 social distancing in the metropolitan area.
According to the Communications Commission, on that day, Chairman Han carefully checked whether fever checks for entrants, mask-wearing, disinfection, and epidemic prevention measures according to the social distancing level were being observed when using the center's building and facilities.
He also inspected the work management status, such as staggered remote work to minimize employee density, and discussed ways to safely and efficiently provide public services such as media education and experience, and broadcasting production equipment rental during the COVID-19 situation.
Chairman Han encouraged frontline employees engaged in quarantine and other center tasks, stating, "We must recognize that the world is currently facing a serious situation with the resurgence of COVID-19 and that everyone must overcome this crisis with one heart." He emphasized, "Since approximately 80,000 people receive education and use the facilities and equipment at the Incheon Center, thorough quarantine and proactive response to COVID-19 are more important than anything else."

In the era of non-face-to-face interactions, it should enhance the quality of national media education services in cooperation with local broadcasters, local governments, and related organizations, and at the same time fulfill its role as a ‘guardian of the people's health’ as a public institution."
