[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] On the 14th at 3 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, visited Madeul Bookstore in Sanggye 9-dong to experience the 'Neighborhood Bookstore Direct Loan' service.
'Neighborhood Bookstore Direct Loan' is a project implemented from the 13th, in which the district office signed agreements with nine local bookstores to allow residents to easily and quickly borrow books they want to read from nearby bookstores, while simultaneously revitalizing local bookstores.
If the desired book is not available at the library, residents can apply for a direct loan from a neighborhood bookstore through the library website. After review, an approval message is sent. Bringing their membership card and visiting the bookstore, they can borrow the requested book and return it to the bookstore after two weeks.
Mayor Oh, who visited the bookstore, brought his membership card and showed the approval notification message received on his mobile phone to borrow the book he had applied for in advance.
After completing the loan, Mayor Oh explained the project to customers visiting the bookstore and encouraged bookstore staff.
