"Managing Hospital Access Safely" KT Collaborates with Korea Association of Long-Term Care Hospitals on 'Digital Health Pass'

Expecting Improved Medical Quality through Smart Safe Nursing Hospital Service Based on AI and DX Capabilities
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KT announced on the 13th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Association of Long-Term Care Hospitals to establish a ‘Digital Health Pass’ for safe hospital access and an AI and digital transformation (DX)-based ‘Smart Safe Long-Term Care Hospital Care Service.’
KT and the Korea Association of Long-Term Care Hospitals will collaborate to promote and implement projects including ▲pilot and introduction of a Digital Health Pass-based access authentication service for proactive prevention of infectious diseases such as COVID-19 at member hospitals ▲pilot and establishment of AI and DX-based smart safe long-term care hospital care services ▲mutual promotion of cooperative business between KT and the Korea Association of Long-Term Care Hospitals and activation of other related projects.
The Digital Health Pass access authentication service promoted by KT is a platform that helps prevent and block the spread of infectious diseases through access management of group facilities and multi-use facilities. Based on test result certification, it supports convenient and safe facility access and aims to advance into a comprehensive infectious disease prevention service that assists not only domestic but also international entry and exit.
Since the MERS outbreak in 2015, KT has been developing an infectious disease prevention platform (GEPP) and has continuously enhanced its technological competitiveness in the digital bio-health field by receiving support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for ‘Next-generation infectious disease prevention research’ and from the RIGHT FUND for ‘COVID-19 infection risk measurement model development research.’
