[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] Another incident of police shooting a Black person occurred in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. It is only 16 km away from the place where the George Floyd death incident happened.
On the afternoon of the 11th (local time), according to NBC News and The New York Times (NYT), Dant Wright (20) was shot while disobeying police orders and re-entering the vehicle near Brooklyn Center. Wright then drove a few blocks while fleeing and collided with another vehicle, dying at the scene.
The police explained, "Around 2 p.m., we instructed the vehicle to stop," and "when we tried to arrest him, he re-entered the car, and we fired shots."
As another police shooting incident occurred, about 100 people took to protest. Some were seen throwing stones at the police or climbing on police cars to protest, scenes captured by local media.
According to witnesses, during the crowd control process, police fired rubber bullets, hitting at least two people. One person also suffered bleeding.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz said on Twitter, "We are closely reviewing the incident that occurred in Brooklyn Center," and "We express condolences to the family of Wright, who died due to the exercise of police authority."
