For the selected complexes, resident education and consulting are provided for up to three years with the goal of establishing social economy enterprises and creating resident jobs.
Mokdong Samsung Apartments, selected for the second year project, started the first-year project in 2020 by conducting neighbor care education to support senior citizens’ social activities, and established the Good Companion Cooperative led by residents who completed the training.
This year, entering the second year, the project will focus on strengthening capabilities related to neighbor care education and ensuring the stable operation of the cooperative.
Also, Mokdong Woosung 2nd Apartments participated in the first-year project in 2019 and the pilot project in the second half of 2020, preparing to operate a resident book cafe within the complex.
In the second year this year, education related to the resident book cafe will be conducted and pilot operations will be carried out to lay the foundation for forming an economic community, preparing for the establishment of a social cooperative.
