On the 10th at 10:30 a.m., Mayor Oh will visit the ‘Namsan Youth Hostel Residential Treatment Center’ operated by Seoul City to check its operational status and meet with city employees and medical staff on duty to offer encouragement.
The residential treatment center plays a very important role in isolating and treating asymptomatic and mild patients to prevent community spread, with about 65% of COVID-19 patients assigned there. Seoul currently operates a total of 13 residential treatment centers (including autonomous districts), including Namsan Youth Hostel, with an operating rate of 50.5%.
Following this, at 11:10 a.m., Mayor Oh will visit the ‘Seoul Station Temporary Screening Clinic’ installed and operated at Seoul Station Plaza to review its operation status and extend words of encouragement to the medical staff and support personnel who are working tirelessly even on weekends.
Since December last year, Seoul has been operating temporary screening clinics where any citizen can receive free proactive testing to minimize daily and latent infections. Currently, a total of 26 locations are in operation, including Seoul Station Plaza and Yongsan Station Plaza.
