[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City in Gyeongnam announced on the 9th that it held a tree-planting ceremony to commemorate the completion of the new Agricultural Technology Center building.
About 30 people attended the event, including Jinju Mayor Cho Gyu-il, the chairman of the Jinju Agricultural Association Council, the chairman of the Munsan-eup village chiefs, the chief of Dosan Village where the Agricultural Technology Center is located, and employees of the Agricultural Technology Center. The event was conducted simply while adhering to COVID-19 prevention guidelines.
The Jinju Agricultural Technology Center is a campaign pledge of Mayor Cho Gyu-il during his 7th term. To prepare for the internationalization of agriculture, a budget of 42.4 billion KRW was invested, with construction starting in May 2019 and completed in December last year.

Mayor Cho Gyu-il requested, "I hope you will do your best to create the ‘Dumesil Agricultural Theme Park’ within the Agricultural Technology Center, which includes various experience facilities where farmers and citizens can participate together, as well as comfortable resting places where citizens can enjoy their leisure time."
