Gimhae City Conducts 'Customized Population Education on the Go'... Understanding and Efforts to Improve Population Issues
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, will conduct a 'Visiting Customized Population Education' program targeting elementary, middle, and university students from the 8th, starting at Sammun Elementary School, through November.
The population education is conducted to help future generations develop a positive perception of marriage and childbirth and understand the importance of a harmonious life between work and family.
A professional instructor from the Population Health and Welfare Association Gyeongnam Branch visits schools to conduct the program or provides non-face-to-face education via ZOOM. A total of 22 sessions will be held for 9 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, and 1 university, with about 1,900 students participating.

A city official stated, "Population issues require a shift in awareness through continuous education, and above all, population education will be a good opportunity for adolescents, who are in the stage of forming life values, to empathize and communicate about the population decline phenomenon due to low birthrates and aging and the future."
