View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Park Young-sun, the Democratic Party of Korea's candidate for Seoul mayor, accepted the results after the announcement of the exit poll results by the three major terrestrial broadcasters for the April 7 by-election, saying, "I will accept everything and move forward."
On the afternoon of the same day, Park met with reporters at the party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, and said, "I am infinitely grateful to the citizens who supported us until the end, hoping that sincerity would win."
He added, "I will humbly accept everything with a sincere heart to the citizens who have raised the disciplinary stick."
Park did not respond to questions from reporters about his future plans.

On the same day, the three broadcasters (KBS, MBC, SBS) announced the exit poll results for the Seoul mayoral by-election conducted by KEP (Korea Election Pool), under the Korea Broadcasting Association, showing candidate Oh at 59% and candidate Park at 37.7%. This survey was conducted by three research institutions: Ipsos, Korea Research International, and Hankook Research, targeting 50 districts in Seoul and 11,114 people from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. The sampling error is ±1.7 percentage points at a 95% confidence level. Early voting results were not reflected.
