Wemade Signs Publishing Agreement for 'Legend of Mir 2' in China with Hong Kong Renaissance Investment Management
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Wemade announced on the 6th that it has signed a PC client service contract for "Mir 2" with Hong Kong Renaissance Investment Management, the Hong Kong subsidiary of China's Longhua (隆?) Group.
Under this contract, Hong Kong Renaissance Investment Management will provide the Mir 2 PC client service throughout China and operate private server businesses.
Longhua Group has grown based on the wine industry and is engaged in various industries such as franchises, real estate development, golf courses, and hotels. Recently, it decided to enter the game industry and is expanding its business starting with Mir 2.
Mir 2, which entered the Chinese market in 2001, is Wemade's representative IP (intellectual property) and is known as the "original Korean Wave game" with over 500 million members. The simultaneous number of users in China worldwide reached 800,000, which was recorded in the Guinness World Records.
