Lotte Hi-Mart Introduces Video Consultation Service for In-Store Customers

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Lotte Hi-Mart announced on the 5th that it will pilot a video consultation service for customers visiting stores. This service was introduced for customers who want to experience products in-store but prefer professional consultations remotely.
Lotte Hi-Mart will initially offer this service at about 20 representative stores in the metropolitan area. These include Mega Store Apgujeong Branch, Mega Store Ansan Seonbu Branch, Sanggye Branch, and Songdo Lotte Mart Branch. The service will first be applied to medium and small home appliances with a large number of products, such as electric ranges, dishwashers, and PC devices. The company plans to improve the service based on customer feedback and gradually expand the supported brands and product categories.
Digital kiosks for remote consultations will be installed in the product sections supported by the in-store service. Customers select "Start Consultation" on the kiosk screen, then choose the desired category and product to connect with a brand consultant. The brand consultant conducts the remote consultation from a specially prepared partner studio, demonstrating products directly and explaining performance and usage. Customers who wish to purchase products after the consultation can simply request payment from the in-store professional consultant.
To commemorate the launch of this service, Lotte Hi-Mart will provide coffee coupons and Hi-Mart mobile gift certificates to customers who use the service and purchase products during April.
