View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Sumi] Oh Taeyang, the Future Party candidate for Seoul mayor who claimed to have been assaulted by members of the People Power Party's Oh Se-hoon Seoul mayoral campaign, released a video of the incident on Facebook on the 3rd.
On the 3rd, candidate Oh posted on his Facebook titled "to Lee Jun-seok, Head of New Media Department #Share." He also attached several videos and photos capturing the situation. He stated, "Regarding the assault on me and the campaign workers, we are preparing to file assault charges with the Seoul Election Commission and Yangcheon Police Station," adding, "Since you like 'fairness,' let's receive a 'fair judicial judgment,'" signaling legal action.
Furthermore, candidate Oh addressed Lee Jun-seok, head of the People Power Party's New Media Department, who had denied Oh's claim of assault by Oh Se-hoon's camp, saying, "I requested the release of the video on the grounds that it is not assault unless candidate Oh Taeyang was beaten up," and added, "Since you are the head of Oh Se-hoon's New Media Department, I will take this as the official position of candidate Oh Se-hoon."
He also criticized Lee's remark, "What kind of crazy person assaults an opposing candidate?" by saying, "Your human rights sensitivity is very low," and added, "Kim Jong-in, the emergency committee chairman, also insulted representative Ahn Cheol-soo by calling him a 'crazy person.' I hope you examine your own camp first."
Candidate Oh's post has since been deleted.
Meanwhile, Lee Jun-seok commented on the video released by candidate Oh, saying, "No need for long words; just watch it and you can judge the situation."
