[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Moon Seok-jin, Mayor of Seodaemun-gu, cast his vote at the polling station set up at Yeonhui-dong Community Center on the morning of the 2nd, the first day of early voting for the April 7 by-election.
Mayor Moon urged citizens to actively participate in voting, saying, "For those who find it difficult to vote on the main election day, April 7, I hope you exercise your precious right during the early voting days on the 2nd and 3rd."
He also said, "Please follow the COVID-19 safety guidelines such as wearing masks," adding, "Early voting can reduce congestion on the main election day, which will also help with social distancing." There are a total of 14 early voting stations installed in Seodaemun-gu.
Early voting for the April 7 by-election can be done on the 2nd and 3rd from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at any polling station within the election district, regardless of your registered address.
Voters must bring identification such as a resident registration card, driver's license, or passport to vote.
