Kakao Targets Global MZ Generation with Character 'Apeach'
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Kakao is launching a short-form animation called 'Peach Five' featuring the Kakao Friends character 'Apeach.'
On the 2nd, Kakao announced, "To expand the global market for character intellectual property (IP) business, we will introduce short-form content familiar to the MZ generation (born from the early 1980s to early 2000s) across various platforms."
The animation will be released on Apeach's official TikTok account and Ryan's official Instagram.
'Peach Five' is the name for the combination of characters 'Apeach,' 'Ruffy,' and 'Puffy,' featuring various episodes.

A Kakao representative stated, "Our character-based business will expand globally, especially focusing on Japan, by leveraging various content based on character IP beyond offline stores."
